South Sioux City junior Madelynn Bohnet is tied for 33rd among 75 golfers competing in the Class A State Girls Golf Championships at Riverside Golf Club in Grand Island.
Monday’s opening round was delayed due to a frost advisory, but once the hit the links, the Lady Cardinals’ lone state qualifier put together a nice round, shooting a 94 with a 47 on both the front and back nine.
Bohnet doubled both the first and ninth holes, but had a pair of pars midway through the front nine. On the back, she closed with a par on the 18th.
Action continues Tuesday, with Bohnet set to tee off at 10:50 a.m.
