South Sioux City’s girls wrestling team debuted Thursday with a 54-24 win over Plattsmouth in dual action at the SSC Mini-Dome.
Plattsmouth was open in nine of the 14 weight classes, but won four of the five contested matches in the season opener for both teams.
Fatima Alvarez picked up the only win of the night for the SSC girls with a second-period fall over Olivia Byrom at 135 pounds.
The Lady Cards wrestle in the Nebraska City Invitational on Friday.
