The South Sioux City Lady Cardinals went 0-3 in Saturday’s Freeman Invitational softball tournament in Lincoln.
SSC opened with a 24-4 loss to the host Falcons, followed by losses to Platteview and Raymond Central.
In the first game, Aubrey Tranmder had a double, scored twice and drove in a run for the Lady Cards. Keyanna Weaver had two hits and scored a run, Laela Montes had an RBI single and scored and Paisyn Ross had two hits and an RBI. Sky Palmer, Payton Derochie and Lindsey Loos also had hits.
In the second game, Tranmer had a two-RBI double Mila Garvey had a two-run single and scored twice, and Weaver and Emily Torres both had RBI safeties. Palmer also had a hit and scored a run as Platteview won 15-6.
Laela Montes had both SSC hits in the finale against Raymond Central, won by the Mustangs 16-0. Ross struck out five in the circle.
SSC hosts NEN on Monday at Cardinal Park.
