South Sioux City's track and field teams put some solid efforts together Wednesday as both finished third in the SSC Invitational at the Cardinal Athletic Complex.
The Lady Cardinals won two events on the day. Madelynn Bohnet took top honors in the pole vault, while the 3,200-meter relay tandem of Jacqueline Salgado, Melanie Magana, Aolanis Reyes and Kalianne Norton claimed first place to start the day's track events.
In boys action, Luke Mcginty came away with a first-place finish in the 1,600-meter run.
